Our Monitoring Servers: - Our monitoring servers are powerful Dual Opteron servers dedicated to monitoring our clients servers. No other services run on these servers. This ensure that we can monitor 1,000's of servers at any one time without having to worry about performance issues.
No Software Installation Required: - We do not require any software to be installed on your server. All monitoring is handled by our servers and the software runs on our side, not the clients.
Online Statistics: - You may view the status of your server at anytime by visiting our server monitoring station. You will find your server listed here along with all our other customers servers currently being monitored. If you have purchased a Monthly Maintenance Plan, you will also find your server added to our monitoring system as this service is a free service for our Monthly accounts.,
System Down: - When signing up for our Server Monitoring plan, you will be asked to enter your server login information as well as your NOC (Data Center) login information. If you have provided this information in your account, and our monitoring system has determined that your server is unreachable, one of our technicians will attempt to log into your server to diagnose the reason why the server may be unresponsive. If your server is not accessible we will log a reboot ticket with your data center provided that you have included your data centers support ticket login information during signup. Providing your NOC login information is completely optional of course. EV1 customers may create additional user accounts under their EV1 accounts. This is a great way to to ensure that we can submit a reboot ticket on your behalf without having full access to your personal information.
Notification: - If your server is determined to be unreachable for a set number of minutes, an email will be dispatched to one of our Unix consultants who may investigate the event depending on its severity level. Not all warnings sent to our staff indicate a crashed or down server. Often, simply rebooting your server may send us a warning that the server is down. It will be up to our staff and our monitoring system to determine if your server is truly in a down state at which time we will take the necessary actions.

Server Platforms: - We currently monitor Unix, Windows & freeBSD servers. Generally, we can monitor any type of server that has a dedicated ip address and is online.
